I had tried a few "clean eating" plans in the past, but once the assigned time period ended, I always resumed bad habits. When I started working with Barbara, the first thing she asked me was, "What food can you not live without?" What struck me was her commitment to tailoring a program just to me. She had me answer over 300 questions about my health and behaviors and then came up with a list of foods to avoid and a much longer list of foods to incorporate. In the coming months, she kept checking in with me to see how things were going and to make changes if something wasn't working. She doesn't believe in deprivation and as a result, I have never felt deprived. It's the first time in my life that I've found a way of eating that feels like a lifestyle, rather than a diet. Diets these days always claim to be "lifestyles," but they aren't. Working with Barbara, I feel as though I can stick with my food plan forever. My body and mind feel amazing.
